Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 March 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how LifeLine Europe collects, uses, and protects your personal data. We are committed to full compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who We Are

LifeLine Europe is a trading name of CoreLogic Ai Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16919694. Our registered address is in England and Wales. We provide emergency assistance information and services to English-speaking expatriates in Europe. For data protection enquiries, please contact: privacy@lifelineeurope.com

2. What Data We Collect

We collect and process the following categories of personal data: Account information: Your name, email address, and account credentials when you register. Medical profile data: Blood type, allergies, medications, medical conditions, surgical history, and healthcare provider details — only when you choose to enter this information. Document metadata: Document names, types, and expiry dates for documents stored in your vault. Document images are stored locally on your device; only metadata is held on our servers. Usage data: App interactions, features accessed, and session information to improve the service. Call records: If you use the Premium helpline, call logs including duration, call type, and operator notes. Payment information: For in-app purchases, billing is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). For web purchases, billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details in any case. Subscription data: Your subscription status, plan type, and entitlements are managed through RevenueCat using an anonymised app user ID. Location data: GPS coordinates and What3Words addresses generated during SOS activations, Lone Worker check-ins, and accident reports.

3. How We Store Your Data

App data (medical profile, phrase preferences, offline documents): Stored locally on your device, encrypted at rest. Server-side data (account details, call logs, subscription records): Stored on secure servers within the European Economic Area, encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon deletion of your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days in accordance with GDPR Article 17.

4. Lawful Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following lawful bases: Contract performance: To provide the service you have subscribed to. Legitimate interests: To improve the application and ensure service quality. Consent: For any optional data collection, including medical profile data. Legal obligation: To comply with applicable law including tax and accounting requirements.

5. Your Rights Under GDPR

As a data subject in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the following rights: Right of access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data. Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ('right to be forgotten'). Right to data portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format. Right to restrict processing: Request that we limit how we use your data. Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@lifelineeurope.com. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Data Retention

Active accounts: Data retained while account is active. Deleted accounts: All personal data permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion request. Call logs: Retained for 24 months for quality assurance purposes, then anonymised. Financial records: Retained for 7 years to comply with tax law.

7. Third-Party Services

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We use the following service providers, each bound by GDPR-compliant data processing agreements: RevenueCat (https://www.revenuecat.com): Subscription management and entitlement verification. RevenueCat processes your anonymised app user ID and subscription status to manage your plan entitlements across Apple and Google platforms. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or personal data. Apple App Store / Google Play Store: In-app purchase processing and subscription billing. Apple and Google process your payment information according to their own privacy policies. LifeLine Europe does not receive or store your payment card details for in-app purchases. Stripe (https://stripe.com): Payment processing for subscriptions purchased directly via our website. Their privacy policy applies to billing data. What3Words (https://what3words.com): Location encoding for emergency services. When you use the SOS or Lone Worker features, your GPS coordinates may be converted to a What3Words address. What3Words receives only the coordinates, not your identity. Infrastructure providers: Cloud hosting within the EEA, with data encrypted in transit and at rest. We may disclose data to law enforcement authorities if required by law.

8. Guardian Mode

When you use Guardian Mode features, we collect and store your GPS location at regular intervals for the duration of the active session. Location data is stored on our servers for 90 days and then automatically deleted. You can delete individual sessions at any time from the Safety History screen in the app. If you enable audio recording within Guardian Mode, audio is recorded from your device's microphone and stored only on your device. Audio recordings are never transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly choose to share them. Your safety contacts receive your location via SMS sent directly from your device through your mobile network. This data does not pass through our servers. Journey tracking pages are accessible via a unique link for 7 days after the journey ends, then automatically expire. Only your first name, journey description, and location data are visible on the tracking page. Fake call conversation scripts are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to our servers. You can export all your Guardian Mode data at any time using the export function in the app, and you can request complete deletion of all Guardian Mode data under your GDPR rights.
